Strategy Lab

Strategy Lab is the initial training event for church planters working with Kairos. Before coming to Strategy Lab these planters have already gone through the assessment process we call Discovery Lab. Between Discovery Lab and Strategy Lab the planters make their final decisions about pursuing a church planting ministry, we send them five books to read on church planting, mentoring, fund-raising, and other important topics, and they begin their transitions out of their previous work and into church planting. At Strategy Lab we spend five intense days together thinking, studying, talking and praying about this new church that is already beginning to form in the hearts of these planters. Our Strategy Lab combines critical thinking about important biblical topics with the application of those biblical ideas in the church plant. It is amazing how many decisions planters make as they evangelize people and help them form into a new congregation. At Strategy Lab we work intently on grounding those decisions upon biblical principles that give the planters courage and confidence as they work with unchurched newcomers to Christ. Strategy Lab culminates on graduation day when the planters take everything we have worked on during the week and present it in an initial ministry plan. This rough drawn ministry plan is their first attempt at answering the question, "how are we going to get from today to when that new church has been launched?" Then for the next month they will revise those ideas into a written ministry plan they will use with their church planting coach as they begin the real work of getting a new church up and going. |
